Summary: This Rhode Island statute provides that towns and cities may adopt ordinances or regulations concerning the use of money received for dog licenses.

Towns and cities may adopt ordinances or regulations concerning the use of money received, but where no ordinances or regulations are adopted, town and city clerks shall issue licenses and receive the money and pay the money into the treasury of the city or town retaining fifty cents (50 c) for his or her own use for each license issued.
