The repealed section, added by Stats.1972, c. 887, p. 1583, § 3, amended by Stats.1978, c. 1146, p. 3513, § 6; Stats.1984, c. 281, § 1, related to the prohibition on killing dogs and cats by high-altitude decompression chamber or nitrogen gas. Similar provisions were added at Penal Code § 597u.

FORMER TEXT:

No person, peace officer, officer of a humane society, or officer of a pound or animal regulation department of a public agency shall kill any dog or cat by the use of any high-altitude decompression chamber or nitrogen gas.
